I was honored today to have the opportunity to exchange views with experts associated with the Deming Prize and to hear first-hand updates on Taiwan's precision screw technology industry.
Many people focus only on AI, robotics, and electric vehicles, but the true source of industrial competitiveness often lies in the critical yet understated core components and manufacturing capabilities behind them.
From the rise of Japanese manufacturing to today's era of humanoid robots, quality management, precision manufacturing, and supply chain stability remain the most important foundations of industrial upgrading.

台灣在半導體之外,其實還有很多世界級的隱形冠軍,正在默默參與下一代 AI 與機器人產業鏈。真正值得關注的,不一定是最熱鬧的新聞,而是那些能夠穩定做出 高精度、高良率、高可靠性的公司。
AI 的未來,最終仍會回到製造、品質、供應鏈、與工程能力。這些看起來不搶眼的環節, 才是長期產業升級與全球競爭力最難被複製的護城河。

Behind all of these technologies and products is one common denominator: the long-term accumulation of manufacturing capability.
Beyond semiconductors, Taiwan is home to many world-class hidden champions quietly participating in the next generation of AI and robotics supply chains. What deserves attention is not always the loudest headline, but the companies that can consistently deliver high precision, high yield, and high reliability.
The future of AI will ultimately return to manufacturing, quality, supply chains, and engineering capability. These less visible layers are precisely the hardest-to-replicate moats behind long-term industrial upgrading and global competitiveness.
